After Standing Still

I stopped to rest off the trail, and after standing still for a few moments, the warblers landed down–there were too many Myrtle Warblers to count and this bright Pine Warbler.

Wood Stork pair

This Wood Stork pair was ambling through the grass. The endangered wading bird starts breeding in late winter–timed to the dry season when their fish prey become concentrated in shrinking water pools.
