Singletrack sweetness

Two trips to Oleta River State Park. Eleven and a half miles of adrenaline. Seventy-eight more miles to go, to reach my goal.

Ready to go

As soon as we got to Oleta State Park, Sandy, the loyal trail hound, was ready to go.

Each time I bike Oleta, I become more convinced that these trails are the most adrenaline-inducing, and best maintained network of mountain bike trails in the state. Some of the Central Florida trails, such as Santos, stand out when it comes to technical trails, but as a network of bike trails, Oleta really rises above the rest. A few of my fav-orites of the 10-plus miles of singletrack at Oleta:
Rocky Mile (a shaded route directly to some of the best trails; usually my warm-up mile)

Sandy on Rocky Mile trail

Twin Peaks (fast)
Half Pipe
Gator Bank
Strangler Fig (technical)
Goldslick (fast)
Stairway to heaven
El Diablo (fairly technical).

If you have a fav-orite trail, or part of this state park, let me know…
